AI & llms.txt
Give Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT or any coding assistant accurate Desyne context with llms.txt, full-text Markdown and per-page Markdown.
Coding assistants guess at APIs they haven't seen. Desyne publishes its docs in plain Markdown so you can give them the real thing: component props, examples and patterns from this site, not from their training data.
What's available
| URL | What it is | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
/llms.txt | An index of every page with a one-line description, following the llms.txt format | The tool can follow links itself |
/llms-full.txt | Every docs page concatenated as Markdown | You want everything in one context |
/docs/<page>.md | A single page as Markdown, e.g. /docs/forms.md | You only need one component or guide |
Docs pages also return Markdown when a client asks for it with an
Accept: text/markdown header, so agents that request Markdown get it from the normal
URL.
Copy a page
Every docs page has a Copy Markdown button under the title. It copies the page as Markdown, ready to paste into a chat. The menu next to it opens the page directly in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or Scira AI with the Markdown URL attached.
Cursor
Add the docs once and reference them in any chat:
- Settings → Indexing & Docs → Add doc, and enter the
/llms-full.txtURL of this site. - In chat, type
@Docsand pick it.
Or add a project rule so every request uses Desyne conventions:
---
description: UI components
globs: ["**/*.tsx"]
---
UI components come from Desyne (React Aria + shadcn tokens), installed in components/ui.
- Use onPress, not onClick, on Button. Use isDisabled, isRequired, isInvalid.
- Fields take label, description and errorMessage props. Wrap forms in react-aria-components <Form>.
- Colors via the `color` prop (primary, brand, neutral, danger, success, warning, info).
- Style states with data-* variants: data-hovered:, data-pressed:, data-focus-visible:, data-selected:.

- Claude Code: add a line to
CLAUDE.mdsuch as "UI docs: fetch https://desyne.dev/llms.txt and the linked.mdpages before writing components." Claude Code can fetch the index and the pages it needs. - Claude.ai projects: download
/llms-full.txtand add it to the project's knowledge, or paste single pages with Copy Markdown.
ChatGPT and other chat tools
Paste the output of Copy Markdown for the components you're working with, or attach
llms-full.txt as a file. For a single question, linking the .md URL of the page is
often enough for tools that browse.
The shadcn MCP server
The shadcn CLI includes an MCP server that lets assistants browse and install from the
registries in your components.json, including @desyne and (with your key)
@desyne-pro:
npx shadcn@latest mcp init --client claude # or cursor, vscodeThen ask things like "add the date picker from @desyne" or "show me Pro pricing blocks".
Prompting tips
- Name the library and version of React Aria patterns: "Use Desyne's
Select(React Aria) withselectedKey/onSelectionChange." - Point at an example: "Follow the data table recipe on /docs/components/table.md."
- Ask for accessible names: "Every icon-only button needs
aria-label." - Keep the tokens: "Use semantic colors (
bg-card,text-muted-foreground), not raw palette colors."
